Meet Morgan!

Morgan Gilbert recently joined Summit Strength & CrossFit, and we are so excited to have her in our community. Below, she shared a little about herself, why she joined Summit, and some of her goals (both fitness and otherwise)!

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I am from Ft. Wayne, IN, and am 26 years old – soon to be 27 in November. Here in Indy, I’ll be working with the bone marrow transplant team at IU Simon Cancer Center.

A kind of fun fact about me is I have an intense obsession with Arby’s mozzarella sticks – I’d literally eat them at multiple meals a day if I could. More functionally, I have my black belt. But please don’t make me demonstrate – it’s been a long time!

What brought you to Summit Strength?

I joined Summit Strength after doing a long Yelp! review of various gyms in the Indy area and felt that after my search Summit Strength would not only help me reach my goals but would be interested in getting to know me as a person and having fun along the way! All of this has proven to be true, plus I feel I get great coaching while I’m in class and since I’m a newbie at this, that’s very important to me

Any goals you’d like to share with us?

I’m really looking forward to continue working on my Olympic lifting technique and learning new gymnastics moves, all while staying fit and making new friends!

Outside of fitness, with being in residency these past 2 years I have perfected my Ramen Noodle making but I’m currently trying to learn more recipes/be a better cook!
